Saint-Gobain

In 2003 the Saint-Gobain Group formulated its Principles of Conduct & Action, formalizing the values which have guided and inspired the way business has been conducted in the Group over the years. Adherence to these principles is a requirement for belonging to the Saint-Gobain Group. Each management level – company, business unit, Delegation or Sector, carries its own responsibility for ensuring that these principles are applied.
Since 2007 Emmanuel Toniutti, chairman of IECG, has organized and animated over 20 workshops for management of Saint-Gobain companies throughout the Benelux on the practical application of these Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct & Action. These workshops last two half days for groups up to 20 participants and are conducted either in French or in English. The workshops are a combination of theoretical lectures on business ethics and practical exercises in applying the Principles of Conduct & Action in real business dilemma’s, brought forward by the participants themselves.
When participants enter these workshops, they are often in a “wait and see” mode, if not reluctant to discuss such a subject which is not their daily concern. Thanks to the enthusiastic, knowledgeable and inspiring performance of Emmanuel Toniutti, he always brings about a dynamism in the group, turning these participants into active co-operators. Without exception they become enthusiastic about the subject and leave the workshop with an agenda, not only to apply these Principles of Conduct & Action in their day-to-day activities, but also to actively promote them in their own companies.
